New Blood on the Stage 2021

MÍŠENSKÁ

SOOT AND SMOLDER

One perfect model of the Prague apartment building at Míšenská 3, four floors, four centuries, and four members of the Brotherhood of Chimney Sweepers. Mysterious instigators of human destinies, or simply narrators of real-life stories who reveal to only a small audience the story of one building and two notorious Prague occultists. The fame and fall of the “Prague Devil,” Jiří Arvéd Smíchovský, and the “Spanish Count from Kutná Hora,” Felix Achille de la Cámara del Campo y del Padrone.

NOV

THIRD // SPACE: NOV

The journey into the collective unconscious begins with birth. It is full of slippery roads and leads to the very bottom of our souls where we meet our fears, doubts, dilemmas and most importantly ourselves. What do we fear the most? What is it like to see oneself in the lights of trams passing by the darkened windows of a synagogue? An experimental performance nov (new moon) is based on the Siberian report bearing witness to the birth of a shaman; the performance peeks in the depths of human horror and invites the audience to meet the fears which only belong to them but at the same time are common to all mankind. A fifty-minute trip to the dark side of the moon offers the possibility of an open dialogue with doubts which on and on call to be answered.

ÁRBAKKINN

MANUS ART COLLECTIVE: ÁRBAKKINN

A landscape as a body, a body as a landscape. Time which passes peacefully, distant from the time we experience. A body is perceived as part of a whole. It is part of naturalness, a landscape of its own right that seeks to be strong and adamant like cement buildings and architecture that surround it. Feelings, sensitivity, and intelligence bind us to nature more than we realize. A human being is a mass with impact on the landscape, shaping it as it searches for its place.

Choreography, concept: Štěpána Mancová
Dancing: Šimon Klus, Šárka Říhová
Music: Konstantin Wolkenstein
Collaboration on Movement: Eva Stará

NOT A TOY

SZ² TANEČNÍ GRUPA: NOT A TOY

The performance was created on the basis of my own experienced emotions and asking existential questions. In childhood, every day is a new adventure, we are not afraid to discover the unknown, we throw ourselves headlong into situations that we would think too much about in adulthood until we change our minds and prefer to return to our comfort zone. As children, we create an imaginary world, which is a second reality for us, which, however, disappears during our adolescence and society unconsciously shapes us to its own image. We become a product of alination in a daily repeated routine
