OPEN CALL FOR ARTISTS AND CULTURAL MANAGEMENT TEAMS FROM NORWAY

Nová síť and Surnadal Billag has launched a programme supporting residencies for artists and cultural management teams in the Czech Republic and Norway. The programme is part of the Czech Cultural Network Nová síť funded from the EEA and Norway Grants 2014–2021.

The support is intended for artists and cultural management teams from Norway for their artists residencies in the Czech Republic, at selected host residency venues offered through the ART-IN-RES platform www.artinres.cz.

Deadline: November 30, 2021

Artist residency: The programme focuses on supporting the creative process and development of new projects in performing arts. Special attention will be given to projects exploring the boundaries of theatre, dance, performance, and visual arts. Each residency should result in a work in progress/intervention in space/artwork specific for the site of residency.

Manager residency: The support of cultural management teams is intended for teams that operate primarily in the area of regional cultural development. The result of the residency should include a progress report on a research theme or a report on sharing know-how with the partner organization. Research themes should be discussed with the residency venue in advance.

Artists and cultural management teams operating in Norway on a long-term basis are encouraged to apply.

The 2nd Open Call is proposed for residencies taking place from 1 March to 30 April 2022. Travel expenses of up to five people shall be reimbursed: EUR 40/day/person.

Artist residency shall run from 1 to 2 weeks.
