New Blood on the Stage is a programme supporting young and emerging artists, new artistic groups and art school graduates (within three years of graduation) working in the field of contemporary theatre. The programme is particularly suitable for artists and artistic groups who wish to devote themselves intensively to their creative work in the future. In 2026, Nová síť will support 5 selected artists/artistic groups in the field of contemporary theatre.
In 2026, Nová síť will offer selected artists the following, depending on the organization’s current capabilities and the participant’s interest:
-annual mentoring in the areas of project financing, production, promotion, branding, and possibly also dramaturgy and networking in general
-in the case of a completed project, support for its launch in the Czech Republic or the provision of a creative artistic or managerial residency, or support for the creation of a new project
Nová síť announces an open call every year at the beginning of autumn. Applicants provide information in their application about the project, whether completed or in progress, that they want to develop or work on within the program.
The program is realized by Nová síť z.s. with financial support from the Ministry of Culture of the Czech Republic, the City of Prague, and Art District Praha 7.
