SMALLEST OF THE SAMI

ČESKOSLOVENSKÉ KLACKY
Behind the polar circle, where the frosts and coldness reign, there is a land of Lapps. They look after their reindeer herds and, when the animals have nothing to eat any more, the herdsmen join them and set off for a journey seeking food. One day, even the youngest Sami joins the others on the journey. He does not know what’s awaiting him, but he courageously heads on.

THE PARASITE

MICHAELA STARÁ
The animal we carry in ourselves. The deeply rooted secret. Happiness, emotionally dependent. Partner, or host?
I.
A parasite is an organism, a parasite is an animal, a parasite is a mystery, a parasite is a metaphor for the animal inside us. The parasite can find happiness only at the expense of someone else. The parasite changes and adapts only to be loved, so let’s face it, we might all have one in ourselves.

PRESS PARADOX

8LIDÍ
Devised by the theatre group 8lidí utlitizing a directorless, collective collaboration approach, Press Paradox takes as a starting point Russian journalist Arkady Babchenko, whose assassination in front of his door after flying to Kiev shocked global media. But one day after his death, alive Babchenko appeared at the press conference and claimed that the whole murder was staged to actually avoid a factual assassination. What are today’s journalists threatened with? When to give priority to your personal safety and when to comply with the ethics of the journalists profession?

WOMAN OF DUST

NOVA DANCE
We are made of sugar and iron. We are made of petals and floral scents. We are made of thorns and solid roots. We are made of passion and courage. We are made of goals and paths. We are made out of loud laughter in public and of weeping crying behind closed doors. We are made of bruises and healing scars from fighting.
From independence. From vulnerability. Out of love.
And most of all, we are made out of the dust of the earth.

PREFAB

MIR.THEATRE + PLATA COMPANY
Prefaby is an original visual and sound project, set on a formic table, freely varying motifs of everyday life in a block of flats (prefabricated concrete houses) – a symbol of a fulfilled dream of modern living in the countries of the former Eastern Bloc. It is also pre-apocalyptic concrete idyll based on the stories of three nameless neighbors. This project talks about their fragile ordinariness by extraordinary means.
