Conference on Collaboration in Culture 2025

The sixth edition of the Culture Get-Together conference took place in cooperation with the European project SPARSE Plus under the subtitle European Rural Touring – The Future.

Venue: ARCHA+, Na Poříčí 1047/26, 110 00 Florenc, Prague, Czech Republic

The Symposium followed the tradition of the Culture Get-Together conference, which has been organised by Nová síť since 2020 as a platform for bringing together cultural professionals, representatives of local and regional authorities, promoters, artists, and the wider public interested in live arts and cultural cooperation in European regions. This year, the conference was for the first time connected with the international perspective of the SPARSE Plus project, offering a space for discussion not only on cultural cooperation in the Czech Republic but also within a broader European context, with a particular focus on rural areas and cultural activities outside traditional centres.

The two-day gathering drew on more than seven years of work carried out within the international SPARSE Plus project, whose aim is to strengthen the position of professional performing arts in rural areas. The Symposium presented the results achieved so far and opened a discussion on how to create a sustainable and balanced system for supporting high-quality artistic work beyond major urban centres.

Participants had the opportunity to meet leading international experts in the field of culture, including theorists, promoters, and practitioners, who offered inspiring perspectives on the future direction of cultural activity in rural regions. The programme included panel discussions as well as artistic performances, which contributed to the distinctive atmosphere of the event.

The Symposium was organised by Nová síť, z.s. in cooperation with the international network SPARSE Plus, with the support of the Creative Europe programme and other partners.
