The New Web was originally established as a project by the Motus o. s. initiative and awarded the “Production of the Year” award at the Next Wave Festival in 2003. It was established as an independent initiative in 2004. Over the seven years of its existence The New Web has supported 70 stage projects for which it arranged 335 reprises in the Czech Republic and abroad, provided 11 art residencies, collaborated with nearly 200 artists or art groups, and has worked closely with more than 40 organizations involved in similar fi elds in the Czech Republic and six Prague production companies. The New Web has organized five international projects, issued two publications and held more than 20 public debates and one international conference on the performing arts and cultural projects. It has participated four times in the Small Inventory festival, three times as the main organizer, and has initiated the Big Inventory travelling regional festival six times. The New Web has held workshops and seminars, created a practical map of contacts and information, provided countless advice and consultation, and is here for you and your ideas 360 days a year…
